Tetrahydrofurfuryl Alcohol (THFA) is a biomass-based solvent or intermediate produced by catalytic hydrogenation of Furfuryl Alcohol.

Main applications are the use as a solvent in multiple industries such as electronics and agrochemicals. THFA is a biodegradable, water miscible solvent, has a low vapor pressure and has excellent solvability. In addition to the use as solvent, THFA finds multiple commercial & emerging applications when used as an intermediate.
