Furfuryl alcohol is the highest-volume derivative of furfural, with TFC we are producing over
40 000 MT annually. It is used in industrial resins, wood modifications, flavours & fragrances and serves as a precursor of for derivatives such as Tetrahydrofurfuryl Alcohol and 2-Methyl Furan.

The largest application is the use of furfuryl alcohol in the no-bake foundry process where it acts as a chemical binder to bond the molding sand in the casting process. This process is widely used in metal casting to create precise, high-quality molds with minimal waste.  This makes furfuryl alcohol an essential component in modern foundries, contributing to both quality and efficiency in metal casting.
